Icon-Based Logo Design

I need a distinctive symbol that can stand on its own—think social-media avatars, app badges, signage, and print—so the brief is squarely for an icon-based logo. If a subtle wordmark strengthens the idea I’m open to seeing it, but the icon must work independently.
