Geometric Vector Patterns for V-Groove
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m preparing a new line of decorative acoustic panels and need a small collection of vector patterns that my CNC router can V-groove straight into PET (polyester) sheets. www.layerfelt.com
I’m looking for a designer to help me create a clean, professional PDF document containing a library of original vector-based groove patterns. These patterns will be used as inspiration or selected by clients to be v-grooved into PET felt panels. This document will live on my website and be shared externally with architects, designers, fabricators and installers.
Reference Material:
A PDF from another acoustic felt company which is a perfect reference for layout, tone and level of detail.
A selection of other websites and brands that show good examples of vector-based acoustic patterns.
These will be provided to the successful freelancer.
You are encouraged to use these as guidance, but the final patterns must be original, not copies.
1. Pattern design
Create a library of original vector groove patterns, suitable for v-grooving into PET felt.
The patterns should be:
clean, architectural, and commercially usable
based on simple geometric logic (lines, angles, curves, repetition)
suitable for CNC or v-groove fabrication
Suggested structure (open to your input):
5–8 pattern “families” (eg Lines, Chevron, Wave, Grid, Arc, etc.)
4–8 patterns per family
Approx. 30–40 patterns total for the first release
Patterns should be:
vector based
supplied in AI / PDF
consistent in scale and line logic
