Comprehensive Patch Artwork Revision
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m refreshing our department’s patch and need the artwork rebuilt with several very specific tweaks while preserving the overall style we already love.
Here’s what has to change:
• Replace the current silver outer border with a red that matches the red already on the patch.
• Remove every bit of greenery except the two existing trees.
• Redraw the single set of train tracks so there are three tracks that meet at the station in a clear “chicken-foot” junction. The river must be visible through the gaps where the tracks cross it.
• Update the wording exactly as follows:
Top: FULSHEAR
Bottom: SIMONTON
Directly underneath: 1963
• Transform the bottom edge of the Texas outline into a river. That river should rise along the left side of the outline and flow off the patch on the left, representing our district’s south-west boundary.
• Keep everything else—fonts, shading, and general layout—in the current style; I’m not looking for a modern or retro overhaul, just these targeted edits.
• Match the existing red and blue tones as closely as possible; I don’t have exact color codes to provide.
• The only files I have are JPEG/PNG, so you’ll need to recreate the art cleanly in vector format.
Deliverables:
1. Fully editable vector file (AI or EPS).
2. High-resolution transparent PNG suitable for print proofing.
3. A quick export of the layered file (PSD or similar) so we can make minor internal tweaks later if needed.
I’ll supply the current patch image as soon as we start. Please keep all proportions true to the original and make sure the river, tracks, and text read clearly at standard badge size. Looking forward to seeing the updated design come to life!
