Cartoon Book Illustrations Needed In the Dr Seuss Style

Job ID: 39746625

Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP

I’m putting together a book that calls for a cohesive, light-hearted, cartoonish art style from cover to final page. The project breaks down into three core illustration sets:

• Full-bleed front cover that instantly hints at the story while showcasing engaging human characters and a playful yet accurate treatment of ear anatomy.
• Decorative chapter-heading graphics that keep visual continuity with the cover and subtly feature the ear-focused theme.
• In-text spot illustrations—some narrative, some anatomical—that support the written content without crowding the page.

Everything must feel like it belongs to the same hand: clean lines, vibrant but balanced colours, and proportions that favour expressiveness over strict realism. Vector or high-resolution raster is fine as long as files arrive ready for print (300 dpi CMYK) and adaptable for future e-book conversion.

Once hired I’ll share the manuscript excerpts, layout specs and my rough thumbnails. I’d like initial sketches for approval, one revision round at the sketch stage, and one at the coloured stage before final delivery.

Final deliverables:
• Print-ready cover (front, spine, back)
• Chapter-heading illustrations (quantity to be confirmed, currently 12)
• 20–25 interior spot illustrations supplied as individual PNG/SVG and compiled PDF

Please show examples of similar cartoon character work—especially any projects involving anatomy or educational themes. Looking forward to collaborating and bringing this book to life.
