registration free COM - non native com dll - vb.net VS2017

Hi Guys,
I have built a vb.net Winforms app in VS2017 and i make use of a 3rd party non .NET native dll in it. Currently when deploying users need to register that dll via regsvr32.exe
I read that there is a way to avoid that regsvr32.exe step when using registration free COM logic.
I tried to get that done myself via steps on stackoverflow and e.g. https://dzone.com/articles/quick-guide-registration-free , but without luck.
Therefore I would need help from you to get it built. I am not allowed to share my VS2017 source code so if you can help we would need to do it via screenshare / sessionshare tooling in CET hours.
