VB.NET 4.7+ function Pivot DataTable Function

I have data in a data table (read in from file). It is one column with names that have a period in them. I need a function to take this data and convert it to columns. Each column would be the values that have the same part before the period. They must be ordered in the order they appear in the input file.
Attached is a sample file with the data and a screenshot of what the output return datatable should look like. The amount of items per group could vary.
I need this fully tested with good code and performance.
