Municipal Workflow Automation Using AI

Project Title:
Build AI-Driven Workflow Automation for Municipal Operations (Email Parsing, Airtable, Outlook, Laserfiche, n8n)
Project Description:
We are a Canadian municipality looking to automate several internal workflows and communications using tools like n8n, Airtable, and Microsoft Outlook.
Key Deliverables:
Parse incoming emails (including PDFs) to extract structured requests
Use AI (e.g. OpenAI API) to draft responses to resident emails or council inquiries
Route requests into Airtable based on content and assign to correct staff
Sync email threads and follow-ups to track whether requests were completed
Monitor signed documents in Laserfiche or OneSpan, compile summaries, and send out notifications
Set up a dashboard or summary table for capital project updates and operational spending
Document the setup and provide a short video tutorial
Preferred Skills:
Workflow automation (n8n preferred)
Airtable base setup and automation
Microsoft Outlook API / email parsing
OpenAI or similar AI integration
Laserfiche scripting/API (nice to have)
Strong English communication
