Adding some functionality to a custom combobox control in VB.NET in framework .NET Core 6

I have an existing combobox control that has been modified to expand its autocomplete capabilities. I would like to add 4 changes to the control, as documented in the attached PDF file, in VB.NET, using .NET Core 6 framework.
