Write a Descriptive story
Budget: $12 – $30 SGD
Timeline: 6 hours
A narrative (or story) of about 800 words. The piece should be essentially descriptive of a learning episode.
The story may be reflecting on experience.
Title: Ambitious yet trying
Walking into school with less than four hours of sleep …..
- how a teacher’s 1hour in a classroom with different types of children was.
- age group of children - 5- 6 years olds - kindergarten class
- 3 children with special needs (shouting around, cutting paper)
- STEAM based curriculum with lots of hands-on activity
- teacher is engaged with a group of children after the main activity, working on Dash the robot to code the robot to match the picture.
- write about how the teacher interacted with the children include both positive and negative interactions (like - - using polite words or suddenly lost her cool and scolded the child…etc)
- write in teachers’ point of view. (I was working with three children on coding the robot….)
- also include that the teacher needs to take photo of each child doing the activity hence she was running out of time so the children can’t try more than once and waiting time. (as it is a requirement for weekly photo updates for parents)
- you can include some interruption from teachers (coming in and talking in with teacher, or telling the teacher to do in another way…etc)
