Job Description:

We are looking for a UI Designer to create intuitive, engaging, and visually aesthetic interfaces for our new mobile app. You will collaborate with the UX designer and developers, and other stakeholders, to deliver user-centric designs that enhance usability and elevate the user experience. As a UI Designer, you will take complex information and present it in a simple, visually appealing, and functional way.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design Intuitive Interfaces
- Create high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for the mobile app, ensuring a smooth and delightful user experience.
- Design cohesive, consistent visual styles, including colour palettes, typography, iconography, and layouts.

- Collaborate with UX Designers and Developers:
- Work closely with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished, visually engaging user interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the design vision is effectively implemented in the app.

- Create and Maintain a Design System:
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system with reusable components, icons, and design patterns.
- Ensure consistency across all screens and features of the app.

- Optimize for User Engagement and Accessibility:
- Focus on creating designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and easy to use, while adhering to mobile app design principles (iOS/Android guidelines).
- Ensure accessibility for all users by applying inclusive design principles and best practices.

- Iterate Based on Feedback:
- Revise designs based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and usability testing.
- Stay flexible and be open to adapting designs in an iterative development process.

Qualifications:

- Proven Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a UI Designer, preferably designing mobile applications.

- Strong Portfolio:
- A portfolio showcasing high-quality UI designs, including mobile app interfaces, visual design skills, and interaction design.

- Proficiency in Design Tools:
- Expertise in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools like InVision/Webflow.

- Understanding of UX Design Principles:
- Basic understanding of UX methodologies and how they impact UI design.

- Knowledge of Design Systems:
- Experience in creating and working with scalable design systems and reusable UI components.

- Familiarity with Frontend Development (Optional but a plus):
- A good understanding of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with developers.

- Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail in layout, typography, colour theory, and spacing to ensure a clean, cohesive, and polished design.

- Communication and Collaboration Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with mobile-first design and responsive design principles.
- Understanding of iOS and Android design guidelines.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for mobile apps.
- Experience with animation and micro-interactions to enhance the user experience.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and working in a fast-paced environment.
