Job Title: UI/UX Designer & Developer (React Native/Flutter)

Job Description:
We’re looking for a skilled UI/UX Designer and Mobile Developer to work on BnbForecastZa, a new platform designed for South Africa’s short-term rental market. This role combines user interface design expertise with mobile development experience, and it’s an opportunity to shape a platform that helps local property investors make smarter decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

UI/UX Design:

Design intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces tailored to South African users.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma or similar tools.

Develop user flows and interaction patterns that enhance the user experience.

Ensure that the interface is responsive and mobile-friendly, meeting the expectations of users accessing the platform on a variety of devices.


Mobile App Development:

Build and maintain the front end of the application using React Native or Flutter, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

Translate designs into functional code that performs well on both iOS and Android devices.

Optimize the application for performance and usability, incorporating feedback from user testing.

Collaborate with the backend team to ensure smooth data flow and API integration.


Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and project requirements.

Present design concepts and gather feedback from team members and stakeholders.

Maintain a consistent design system and documentation to streamline development and future updates.


Cultural and Market Relevance:

Adapt the UI to reflect South African market standards, including currency formats, local preferences, and cultural nuances.

Ensure that the platform is accessible and easy to use for a diverse audience, considering regional differences in internet speed and device capabilities.

Incorporate user testing and feedback loops to continuously refine the interface.



Qualifications and Skills:

UI/UX Design Expertise:

Proven experience designing mobile apps or responsive web interfaces.

Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

Ability to create consistent and engaging designs that align with the platform’s goals and user expectations.


Mobile Development Experience:

Hands-on experience with React Native or Flutter, including building, testing, and deploying applications for both iOS and Android.

Familiarity with integrating APIs and handling state management.

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and debugging tools.


Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of design and development tasks.

Flexibility to iterate quickly based on feedback and evolving project needs.
