Project to start Monday 5th June for a Melbourne based University.

Project Overview:
We are seeking a skilled UX designer to collaborate on a short-term, three-week project focused on the UX design of an automation application for a large private university in Melbourne. The objective of this project is to enhance the user experience of the automation application, ensuring it is intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly.

Project Goals:

Improve the usability and efficiency of the automation application for both students and staff.
Streamline complex processes within the application to reduce errors and increase productivity.
Enhance the overall user experience by implementing intuitive design principles and best practices.
Create a visually appealing and cohesive interface that aligns with the university's branding guidelines.
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on the design.

Project Deliverables:
The UX designer will be responsible for delivering the following:
User research plan: Develop a plan for gathering insights from the target users, including students, faculty, and administrative staff.

User personas: Create detailed user personas to represent the application's target audience and their needs.
Information architecture: Design an intuitive navigation structure and information hierarchy for the application.
Wireframes and interactive prototypes: Develop low-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize the proposed design solutions.

Visual design: Apply appropriate visual design elements, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, to create a visually appealing interface.

Usability testing plan: Develop a plan for conducting usability testing sessions to validate the design and gather user feedback.

Usability testing results and recommendations: Analyze the findings from usability testing sessions and provide recommendations for design improvements.

Final UX design deliverables: Deliver high-fidelity UI mockups and design specifications for development.

Qualifications and Experience:

Ideal candidates for the UX designer role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Proven experience in UX design, particularly in designing applications for complex workflows or automation processes.
Proficiency in user research techniques, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Strong skills in creating user personas, information architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
Proficiency in using industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
Knowledge of UX design best practices and the ability to apply them effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project stakeholders and the project team.
