E-commerce Site Usability Testing
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I need a fresh, expert set of eyes to run thorough usability tests on our live, customer-facing e-commerce site. The focus is on how real shoppers experience the store, not on code-level bugs or load speeds.
Scope
• Platforms: desktop and mobile only
• Browsers: Chrome, Firefox and Safari on their latest public releases
What I expect from you
1. Work through key user journeys—homepage to product pages, search, cart, checkout and account areas—while noting any friction, confusion or missed conversion opportunities.
2. Record each session (screen + audio) so I can watch the flow in context.
3. Deliver a concise report that lists:
• The issue, step-by-step reproduction, screenshots and a short severity rating (high / medium / low).
• Practical suggestions for improvement backed by UX best practices or heuristic principles.
Helpful tools such as Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Edition, Safari Web Inspector or any UX analytics plug-ins are welcome if they strengthen your insights, but the heart of the job is human-centred feedback.
Acceptance criteria
• At least one full test pass per browser on both desktop and mobile.
• Minimum of 20 actionable findings overall.
• Video files and the written report delivered in a shared folder within 3 days of project start.
If something outside usability—like a functional or performance problem—catches your eye, flag it briefly, though deep dives in those areas are out of this scope.
Ready to help make our checkout smoother and our customers happier? Let’s talk dates and access so you can begin.
