Remote Streaming Platform QA Testers
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Our engineering team is preparing for a major rollout and needs independent eyes to verify that every part of the streaming experience works flawlessly in real-world conditions. You will access the service from home, follow a mix of scripted and exploratory test scenarios, and capture anything that interrupts smooth viewing or seamless account management.
Scope of work
• Stream full-length content and short clips under varied bandwidths, noting buffering, resolution shifts, audio sync, and subtitle timing.
• Navigate all menus, search, profile settings, and parental controls to spot UI inconsistencies or dead ends.
• Walk through sign-up, trial activation, plan upgrades/downgrades, and cancellations, confirming billable events and automated emails.
• Repeat the above on at least one smartphone, one laptop/desktop, and—if available—a smart-TV app or casting device.
• Log each defect in our Jira project with clear reproduction steps, screen recordings, device/OS details, and network stats (Charles Proxy or similar).
• Re-test fixes within 24 hours of a new build.
Acceptance criteria
1. All critical or major issues are reproducible following your steps and include video evidence.
2. Reports are submitted by the agreed daily cut-off time.
3. Regression passes confirm fixes without introducing new blockers.
