Report on Project Scope and Data-Driven Intelligent Service Prototype Concept idea
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
Topic:
Making Leicester a ‘Smart City’ to enhance citizens’ wellbeing with Data-Driven Intelligent Service
Design
(Word limit: 2,500 +-10% allowance threshold)
Introduction – the introduction needs to set up the theme of your proposed Data-Driven
Intelligent Service to make Leicester a ‘Smart City’. You need to support this by utilising
appropriate published scholarly literature that you can find through Google Scholar, IEEExplore, ACM Library.
2. Service Design Case templates and sketched service component prototype with text
walkthrough – for more information on that, please read next section below
3. Conclusion – the conclusion should summarise your proposed service design emphasising
how it can potentially improve Leicester Citizens’ wellbeing and Quality of Life (QoL) – please
use concrete examples to support what you say.
Reference list (does not count in the main word count) – please use APA citation format for
these
You need to use a set of Case Templates for your Service Design as we used in class so far. All your
completed Case Templates need to be embedded in your single submission report. Each of the
templates needs to be accompanied by text walkthrough i.e. introducing the template and briefly
summarising it. The same applies for your sketched service component prototype – this sketch
needs to also be accompanied by relevant text walkthrough that explains the purpose of the service
component, the key intelligent (and non-intelligent) features and associated data streams and data
dependencies.
You need to use the Case templates from https://servicedesigntoolkit.org/downloads.htm
