Template Adaptation from Budgeting to Forecasting

I need an existing excel template adapted to create a more user-friendly interface for the next step in our process. the current template is set up for a budget creation and now I need to adapt it to function with actuals in parts of the sheet (Q2, Q3 etc). The main goal is to enhance usability and maintain accuracy for planning purposes.
Key Requirements:
- Forms and Inputs: Need a switch to change from budgeting to Q2 forecast, Q3 forecast, etc.
- Adjustment of formulas and connections to fit this switch across the sheet.
- Overall improvement in usability and simplicity (if possible) while prioritize the accuracy and detail
