Software Usability Engineering
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
The objective of this project is to use a specialized tool to test the usability of a software application
using an appropriate testing method as such data-driven testing. Students shall form groups of two
students to select a software application such as a desktop application, web applications, mobile
application or even an application programming interface to measure the degree of usability using
one or more of the five human factors that are central to the user community evaluation such as
time to learn, speed of performance, rate of errors, retention over time, and subjective satisfaction.
Groups shall install Katalon studio (basic version) to create five (5) test cases to measure the
usability of selected functionality within the selected application. Students shall find demos on
how to install and use Katalon studio in the below link: https://www.katalon.com/katalon-studio/,
