Looking for someone who can optimize a test taking application for more students

I have a test taking application which runs fine for below 40 students. However when 50-500 students take test together it slows down the server drasticlly. We are using a godaddy VPS server with good CPU and ram. I need someone who can optimize the server to speed up the whole application using whatever load testing techniques possible. Need urgently.
