BMW Bluetooth OBD2 Device Testing Specialist Needed for Product Validation
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced BMW automotive technician or diagnostics specialist to help us test and validate a Bluetooth OBD2 device specifically designed for BMW vehicles. The device functions similarly to BMW's INPA tool but uses Bluetooth for connectivity, and we need to ensure it meets high performance standards before selling it.
Project Overview:
The Bluetooth OBD2 device is designed for BMW diagnostics, allowing users to read and clear trouble codes, view live sensor data, reset service intervals, and perform advanced ECU functions, all via Bluetooth.
We have over 1500 units in stock that need thorough testing to ensure they function properly with various BMW models.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing Device Compatibility:
Ensure the device connects and functions properly with different BMW models (covering various years and types).
Test the device’s Bluetooth pairing and stability with compatible devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.).
Functionality Testing:
Perform diagnostic functions (e.g., reading/clearing fault codes, real-time data, service resets, ECU adaptations).
Test the device with BMW-specific features such as service reset, ABS/airbag reset, and other BMW system resets.
Reporting:
Provide a detailed test report outlining the device's performance, any issues found during testing, and suggestions for improvements (if applicable).
Requirements:
Experience with BMW diagnostic systems (e.g., INPA, ISTA, etc.).
Familiarity with OBD2 tools and Bluetooth technology.
Ability to test across a wide range of BMW models (from newer to older models).
Strong troubleshooting and reporting skills.
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Project Duration:
This project is expected to take 1-2 weeks, depending on the number of BMW models to test and the complexity of the device's functions.
Budget:
We are offering competitive rates based on the freelancer's experience and expertise. Please provide your rate and availability when applying.
How to Apply:
