3D Urban Road Mapping Model
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am preparing an urban-development proposal and need a single, comprehensive 3D model that shows current roads and intersections, the surrounding landmark and building stock, plus existing public-transport routes. Accuracy matters: the model must be spatially correct so planners can test re-zoning ideas, traffic-flow changes, and future transit extensions.
My base data include GIS shapefiles, contour lines and a street-name index; you are free to work in CityEngine, Blender, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or another pipeline that comfortably exports to FBX/OBJ and supports geo-referencing. If you can layer in real-time feeds for traffic or bus frequency, let me know—this is optional but would be a valuable proof-of-concept.
Deliverables
• A fully navigable, geo-referenced 3D scene containing roads, intersections, named streets, landmarks, buildings and public-transit corridors.
• Exported master file (FBX or OBJ) plus original working files.
• 4–6 high-resolution renders highlighting key development zones.
• A short read-me noting data sources, coordinate system and any scripts or plug-ins used.
The model should be organised cleanly so future phases—shadow studies, pedestrian-flow simulations, or AR overlays—can plug in with minimal rework.
