Riyadh Innovation District Research Assistance in Arabic
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m completing my urban-design graduation project on innovation-led regeneration in Riyadh and need a researcher who can deepen the academic backbone of my work. The site is envisioned as an Entrepreneur District, so every source, precedent and insight you bring should clarify how an urban environment can actively cultivate innovation.
Scope
• Analyse current literature on urban innovation districts, with emphasis on smart technology integration, effective community-engagement strategies and start-up incubation programmes.
• Extract transferable lessons from global case studies and map them to Riyadh’s economic, cultural and climatic context.
• Provide succinct summaries of theoretical frameworks, data sets or planning guidelines that directly inform spatial layout, public-realm activation and infrastructure choices.
• Where possible, highlight locally relevant policies, Vision 2030 directives and municipal regulations that may shape implementation.
Deliverables
1. Annotated bibliography with key findings and citation details (APA or Harvard is fine).
2. Comparative matrix of at least five innovation districts showing smart-tech, community and incubation features.
3. Brief narrative (2,000-2,500 words) synthesising how these insights underpin the design direction of my Entrepreneur District.
I’ll supply my existing concept sketches and site analysis once we start; you weave the evidence around them. If you’re comfortable with GIS, Space Syntax or similar urban-analysis tools, let me know—that would be a plus but isn’t mandatory. Timetable is flexible, though I’d like the first draft of the bibliography within two weeks.
