Unreal Low-Poly Narrative Game
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a one-hour, low-poly psychological adventure in Unreal Engine where the experience hinges on storytelling and narrative. The tone is mysterious and intriguing rather than outright horror, so every element—gameplay flow, performances, and music—needs to draw players deeper into the story without overpowering it.
Here’s what I’m looking for in collaborators:
• Unreal Engine programmer / technical artist
You’ll own the core build: scene setup, simple gameplay logic, interaction triggers, lighting, and optimisation for a small download size. Because the art style is low poly you should also feel comfortable creating or tweaking assets and delivering the character-movement and cinematic cut-scene animations the story requires.
• Voice actors
– One young male voice
– One female voice, soft and reassuring
Clean, ready-to-drop-in WAVs are all I need; I’ll handle timing inside Sequencer.
• Music designer / composer
I want a subtle, atmospheric score that supports the mystery—melancholy kind of music would be good.
Milestone acceptance will be straightforward: a functioning vertical slice that proves the core mechanics, sample voice files that match character direction, and a main theme track with two variations. From there we move to full content, polish, and final build.
If you thrive on tight, story-first projects and can collaborate smoothly through shared Unreal repositories, I’d love to hear how you’d tackle your part of this experience.
