Poppy Playtime Fan Prequel Build
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together a fully-playable, PC-only fan prequel to Poppy Playtime built in Unreal Engine. I already know the look and feel I’m after: the same menus, buttons, fonts, and in-game HUD you see in the official titles, plus faithful recreations of the original character and environment models. From there, I want you to take creative control.
Here’s what matters most to me:
• Core pillars: clever, hands-on puzzles and a thick, cinematic horror atmosphere that keeps the tension high.
• Original narrative: write a brand-new back-story that logically precedes the events of the main series. I’m open to twists—surprise me.
• Authentic presentation: animations, lighting, sound design, and jump-scare timing should all echo the tone fans expect while still feeling fresh.
Essential deliverables
1. Unreal Engine project source with all assets organised and ready for iteration.
2. A standalone Windows build that runs out of the box.
3. Complete story script and in-game dialogue documents.
4. Read-me that clearly credits MOB Games and states: “This project is an unofficial, fan-made creation with no commercial intent.”
If you’re comfortable mimicking the original UI, importing or recreating the same character models, and crafting eerie set pieces around solid puzzle design, I’d love to collaborate.
