Mixamo Root Bone Roll Fix question

Job ID: 40026836

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m using a Mixamo-rigged character in Unreal Engine and the root bone needs a clean roll rotation so the whole mesh tilts correctly. At the moment the model leans the wrong way, and I’m unsure whether this correction should live permanently in the skeleton (static) or be driven at runtime (dynamic).

What I need is straightforward: a clear, step-by-step explanation—or brief live walk-through—showing exactly where and how to apply the roll on the root, how to keep existing Mixamo animations intact, and which approach (static import adjustment vs. Blueprint/AnimBP runtime node) makes most sense.

Deliverable
• A concise answer or mini-demo that leaves my Mixamo character’s root bone rolled to the correct tilt and fully functional in Unreal.

If you’re comfortable with UE5 skeleton tools, retargeting, Control Rig and Blueprint animation graphs, this should be a quick win.
