Mixamo Bone Rotation Fix

Job ID: 40027599

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have a set of Mixamo-downloaded humanoid characters inside Unreal Engine, but the spine and root bones refuse to stay in proper alignment, so every exported animation (idle, walk, run—everything) comes in skewed. In a live, one-hour screen-share I need you to jump in, show me the correct way to adjust or re-orient those bones, and confirm the fix by playing the existing animations back in-engine without the tilt or drift I’m seeing now.

We’ll be working directly in the latest UE version; if you prefer a detour through Blender for quick bone rotation and re-export that’s fine, as long as the final result is clean FBX files that drop into Unreal and play perfectly.

Deliverables (all during the call):
• Corrected spine and root bone orientations on one sample Mixamo character
• At least three test animations (idle, walk, run) previewing in Unreal with no alignment errors
• A quick rundown of the exact steps so I can repeat the process on the rest of the roster

If you’re confident with Mixamo rigs, UE’s skeleton retargeting, and can explain as you work, let’s schedule the session right away.
