Interactive Real-Time Eye Clock Installation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Interactive Digital Art Installation – “Eye of Time” (Real-Time Clock Overlay on Moving Eye Video)
Project Description
I am creating an immersive digital art installation based on a looping video of a human eye (HD, 1920×1080). In this video, the eye slowly moves from left to right and back to center, and the pupil is entirely white.
I need a freelancer (preferably experienced in Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, or TouchDesigner) to build a real-time interactive version of this piece.
The goal: inside the white pupil, there are three clock hands (hours, minutes, seconds), perfectly aligned, moving in sync with the system clock (real time). The hands must follow the pupil’s movement in the video, as though embedded in the eye.The hands are part of the pupil so will be covered by the blinking eye when it blinks.
Color scheme:
Hour hand → black
Minute hand → black
Second hand → red
The final deliverable must be a standalone Windows executable (.exe) that, once launched:
Plays the eye video in seamless loop
Shows the clock hands (hours, minutes, seconds) anchored to the moving pupil
Runs fullscreen, with no window borders
Uses the computer’s system time for precise synchronization
Technical Details
Input: HD video (1920×1080, 20-second seamless loop)
Output: Windows executable
Fullscreen presentation, no window border or UI chrome
Real-time clock synch with system clock
Smooth rendering (ideally 60 FPS)
Accurate color reproduction (no unwanted compression/gamma shifts)
Preferred Tools / Skills
Unity 3D or Unreal Engine (real-time rendering)
Video texture mapping / compositing
Overlay UI / real-time clock rendering
Motion tracking or position syncing (for moving pupil)
Experience in digital art installations or time-based visuals is a plus
Deliverables
Working Windows executable (.exe) that runs the installation full screen
Source project files (Unity, Unreal, or equivalent)
Instructions to update or replace the video file
Timeline & Budget
Flexible, ideally within 2–3 weeks. Budget negotiable based on expertise and scope.
Additional Notes
Video of the empty white eye will be provided to the creator.
This is an art installation, not a game — the emphasis is on visual quality, smoothness, and conceptual fidelity rather than interactivity.
