Full-Time Unreal RPG Developer Needed
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
The core systems for our Unreal-Engine role-playing game are already in a working prototype, and the goal now is to turn that alpha build into a feature-complete production version. I need a developer who can spend full days inside Unreal, iterating quickly, fixing what breaks, and expanding what already works so we reach a solid beta on schedule.
The current prototype includes:
• Basic exploration, combat, and dialogue loops
• Placeholder levels and grey-box environments
• Network-ready code for future co-op play
Your first months will focus on tightening gameplay feel, replacing temp assets with production-quality work, polishing the level flow, and making sure all code is clean, documented, and ready for team hand-off. Expect close collaboration with design, art, and audio through Perforce, Jira, and daily video stand-ups.
Deliverables
• A stable, fully playable vertical slice that runs at 60 fps on PC
• Production-ready blueprints/C++ modules with comments and version control history
• At least one finished environment that showcases our visual target
• Weekly build uploads with change-logs and regression checks
Acceptance Criteria
1. No blocker bugs or crashes in the delivered slice.
2. Gameplay systems exposed to designers via blueprints for easy tweaking.
3. Code passes peer review and automated tests before merging to main.
If Unreal Engine is already your second home and a full-time schedule fits, this project is ready for you to jump in immediately.
