Fire Scene Training Simulator Development

Job ID: 40394084

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

About the Project:
We are developing a first-of-its-kind interactive fire scene training simulator built specifically for fire departments. What makes this simulator unique is that it uses real structures from actual counties, meaning firefighters train on buildings they may genuinely respond to in their jurisdiction. This is not a generic simulation — it is hyper-local, realistic, and purpose-built for command training.
We are currently seeking an experienced Unreal Engine developer to build the initial prototype for this product.

What You Will Build:
A realistic 3D exterior model of a two story single family residential dwelling with a basement, based on a real structure using provided reference imagery and GIS data. The building must be viewable from four exterior angles representing Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta sides of the structure. No interior modeling is required.
The prototype must include three interactive fire condition stages that can be triggered and controlled in real time through a simple operator control panel:

Stage 1: Light smoke showing from the structure
Stage 2: Active fire visible on the exterior
Stage 3: Fully involved with visible fire spread and worsening conditions

Conditions must also be reversible — meaning if an operator selects improving tactics, fire conditions visually de-escalate. The control panel itself should be clean, simple, and easy to operate without technical training.

Visual Quality:
This is important. We are building a product that will be sold to fire departments as a premium training tool. Visual realism matters. Fire, smoke, and environmental effects should look high quality and believable. We are not building a video game — we are building a professional training simulator.

What We Require From You:
Demonstrated Unreal Engine experience with a portfolio showing realistic 3D environments, architectural visualization, or simulation projects

Experience building interactive real-time applications, not just static renders

Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Work-For-Hire Agreement with full intellectual property transfer to our LLC prior to any project discussion

Milestone based delivery with clear communication throughout the build

Delivery of all source files, 3D asset files, project files, and documentation upon project completion — not just the finished build

Payment Structure:
Payment will be made in four milestone installments tied to agreed deliverables. Full project budget is negotiable based on your experience, portfolio quality, and proposed timeline. Please include a rough estimate with your application.

To Apply:
Send your portfolio, a brief description of relevant experience, your estimated timeline for this scope of work, and your rate. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
We are building something new in the fire service training space and are looking for a developer who takes quality seriously and wants to be part of something meaningful from the ground up.
**Applicants must be based in the United States or Canada. No exceptions for this project.**
