Expand Hospital Horror Map
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a survival-horror experience in Unreal Engine 5 set inside a sprawling hospital. The prototype map I’ve sketched is too cramped and predictable, so I’m looking for a fresh pair of eyes to rethink the layout and sharpen the scare curve.
What I need
• A re-imagined top-down floor plan (rough sketch or clean digital mock-up—your choice) that opens the space up with smarter room spacing, alternative routes, and well-timed choke points.
• Written notes that walk me through why each new ward, corridor, shortcut, or dead-end heightens tension, guides encounter pacing, and supports objective placement.
• Suggestions on where fear should spike, where I can let players breathe, and how environmental storytelling can reinforce that rhythm.
Context you should know
– The hospital has multiple wings already blocked out in UE5; I’m happy to share screenshots or a simple overhead export for reference.
– I’ll handle the actual grey-boxing and Blueprint work, so your focus stays on creative layout and pacing logic—not asset production.
– If you have experience with real or fictional medical facilities, ghost-ridden basements, or labyrinthine service tunnels, that knowledge will translate perfectly here.
Deliverables & hand-off
1. 2–3 alternative floor-plan concepts (PDF, PNG, or even hand-drawn scans).
2. An accompanying design brief (1-2 pages) detailing routing, objective flow, and scare escalation for each concept.
3. A short call or annotated file answering any follow-up questions so I can implement confidently in Unreal Engine 5.
I’m eager to start iterating this week and will be available for quick feedback loops. If the challenge of turning an ordinary hospital into a nerve-wracking maze excites you, let’s collaborate.
