monitoring in SDN network

for the project testing has to be applied and monitor network performance in SDN. Currently i am using ONOS VM image, where mininet, openswitches and wireshark installed alredy. but if you have an experience with other controller i have flexibility to change. the main object to monitor SDN network performance
