Unity Quest Free-Roam VR Shooter

Job ID: 40355595

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I’m building a multiplayer, free-roam VR shooting experience for my arena and need an experienced Unity developer who can prototype and polish the entire game directly on Meta Quest headsets. The play space is an indoor arena and the core mode at launch is fast-paced Deathmatch, though I’d like the codebase to stay flexible enough to layer in Capture-the-Flag or other objectives later.

Here’s what the job entails:
• Create a bright, cartoonish visual style that keeps performance at 72 FPS on Quest 2/3 while still feeling lively and competitive.
• Build all networking with Photon Fusion 2 so up to eight players can roam untethered, see accurate gun tracking, and swap seamlessly between PvP and team-versus-team matches.
• Handle real-world arena alignment, safety boundaries, and instant respawn logic so players never collide in the physical space.
• Develop core shooter mechanics—hitscan and simple projectile weapons, reloading, health, scoreboards—and a clean in-headset lobby.
• Deliver the Unity project, documented Fusion setup, and a signed Quest APK ready for on-site testing.

I’ll test every milestone inside the actual arena, so you must own a Quest headset and be comfortable profiling on-device. If you know your way around Unity XR Interaction Toolkit, Fusion Host/Server mode, and performance tuning, let’s talk—my goal is to have the first playable in players’ hands quickly and iterate together from there.
