Unity Linux App Bug Fixes
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
I have a small jukebox-style desktop app built with Unity/C# that normally runs 24/7 on a Linux Mint machine. Since the latest Mint update a handful of annoyances have appeared and I need them ironed out today. You’ll connect through Rustdesk (I’ll supply the ID/password) and work directly on the live box; the full Unity project is already there, so no local build environment is required on your side.
Here’s what I need cleaned up:
• Minimise button: it no longer responds at all. Restore the original behaviour—simply collapsing the main window to the taskbar.
• Folder picker: the file-chooser dialog accepts my music folder but immediately opens a second dialog that has to be dismissed manually. It should close after the first selection.
• Quick-pick folders: admin-configured fallback folders are supposed to auto-play when no track is queued, yet the app now serves random songs instead. Re-establish the intended logic.
• Startup scripts: both the “webapp” script and the main app script should load on boot; only the latter currently does. Diagnose and restore the dual-script startup.
• On-screen search keyboard: visually blend it into the popup so it looks native instead of floating.
Once these are sorted, I have a smaller Python utility that could use a few tweaks, so a smooth collaboration here will lead to more work.
Please be comfortable debugging Unity on Linux, editing C# UI code, and testing live. If you can start right away, let’s get connected on Rustdesk and knock this out.
