Simple 3D Fighting Game Prototype
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a basic 3D fighting game in Unity and want a playable prototype that demonstrates core mechanics end-to-end. Unity (URP or Built-in) and C# will be the backbone, with placeholder assets perfectly fine at this stage—the priority is functional gameplay.
The prototype should open to a start menu, load a single arena, and drop two characters in with health bars and round logic. One character will be player-controlled (keyboard / gamepad) and the other may be either a second local player or a simple AI with a short state machine (idle, approach, attack, block). Camera work, hit detection, damage calculation, and basic combos are all part of the initial scope. Cleanly separated scripts and inspector-exposed variables are essential so I can tweak balance later.
Deliverables:
• Unity project folder ready to open in 2021.3 LTS or newer
• C# scripts fully commented and organised
• Placeholder animations / models wired up to prove mechanics
• Short markdown read-me explaining scene setup, input mappings, and next-step hooks
Once the prototype loop feels solid—movement, attacks, blocking, KO and restart—I’ll take it from there for art polish and network play, so keep the code extensible.
