Project Title: Mobile Endless Runner Game with Real-World Exercise Integration
Overview
We are looking for an experienced mobile game developer to build a polished, visually engaging endless runner game (similar in style to Temple Run or Subway Surfers) that maps real-world physical exercises to in-game character actions. The game must be fun, responsive, and visually refined — this is our top priority, as we have previously built a functional prototype where gameplay mechanics worked but the UI and graphics fell short of our standards.
The game must support the following possible movements of the player character:
Character runs/accelerates
Character jumps
Character flies/glides
Character cartwheels/dodges sideways
Technical Requirements
The game will eventually use the device camera but you can create placeholders for the time being to detect these movements in real time with minimal latency.
UI & Graphics Requirements (Highest Priority)
This is where our previous version fell short, so please pay special attention to this section. We are looking for a visually polished game with a cohesive art style, smooth animations for all character actions, a clean and intuitive HUD (score, distance, health/lives, current exercise indicator), satisfying visual feedback when exercises are detected (e.g., glow effects, sound cues), and professional-quality menu screens, onboarding, and game over screens.
Please include portfolio samples of games or apps you've built with strong UI/UX — this will be a major factor in our selection.
Platform
Windows, iOS and Android (cross-platform builds preferred — Unity recommended).
Deliverables
Fully functional game build for both platforms, source code, documentation for the exercise detection module, and at least one round of revisions on UI/graphics based on our feedback.
