Interactive Mesopotamia 635 BCE Map

Job ID: 40238288

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I want to recreate Mesopotamia as it looked in 635 BCE on a clean, readable 2D–2.5D political strategy map. Every province must be a separate, selectable polygon with its own ID so I can hook game data to it later. When the user hovers a province the border should glow; on click it stays highlighted and a small popup shows the province’s name or ID.

Under the political borders I need a terrain layer that clearly differentiates desert, hills, rivers, coast, mountains and plains. A simple toggle has to switch the coloured political overlay on and off so the raw geography can be inspected. Please leave support for icons such as cities, forts and temples; wiring in one sample icon is enough to prove the system.

Navigation needs to feel as smooth as a modern grand-strategy title: mouse-wheel to zoom, drag to pan, with labels staying readable at every level. The whole scene should stay responsive even with several hundred provinces on a mid-range PC, so keep draw calls low and meshes optimised.

Deliverables
• Project source (Unity) with clear comments.
• A runnable build that demonstrates terrain layer, political toggle, hover-highlight, click-popup and silky camera movement.
• A short read-me explaining how to add more provinces, link data and drop in extra icons.

I’ll verify performance by loading 300 dummy provinces and checking that interaction stays at 60 fps before signing off the final milestone.
