Cross-Platform Multiplayer Game Networking Migration

Job ID: 40605352

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I am developing a cross-platform (Android & iOS) multiplayer casual card game titled "Dehla Pakad Mindi Kot" using Unity. The game currently utilizes PUN 2 for its networking, but I am looking for an experienced multiplayer developer to completely migrate the project from PUN 2 to Photon Fusion. Alongside the migration, I need bulletproof implementation of connection, disconnection, and rejoin logic to support a stable 100 CCU launch framework. The game features both "Online Matchmaking" and "Play with Friends" (private rooms) modes.
Key Responsibilities & Required Logic
Networking Migration: Safely and efficiently transition the existing multiplayer architecture from PUN 2 to Photon Fusion without breaking the core gameplay loop.
Cross-Platform Sync: Ensure seamless state synchronization and matchmaking between Android and iOS users.
Room Creation & Matchmaking: Smooth implementation of random online matchmaking and private room generation via shareable codes using Fusion's architecture.
Graceful Disconnection: Properly handle mobile edge cases (app minimized, incoming calls, sudden network drops) on both Android and iOS, ensuring the active room state does not break for remaining players.
Auto-Reconnection & Session Recovery: Implement background logic to automatically reconnect players during brief network fluctuations (e.g., Wi-Fi to Cellular handoffs).
Rejoin Match Logic: Allow players who completely closed or force-quit the app to rejoin their ongoing match using saved session data.
State Synchronization: Ensure that a reconnecting/rejoining player fetches the exact current game state (cards in hand, cards on the table, current turn, and live scores).

Deep understanding of mobile network transitions, app backgrounding, and handling edge cases for state synchronization on both iOS and Android.
Prior experience with turn-based logic or casual card games is highly preferred.
What to include in your proposal
Examples of multiplayer games you have developed for both Android and iOS.
Specific details of any previous projects where you migrated networking from PUN to Fusion.
A brief explanation of how you handle state synchronization for a disconnected player in Photon Fusion.
Estimated time and cost to complete this migration and logic implementation.
