Build Unity Rental Game
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I want to bring a rental-themed 3D game to life in Unity and make sure it’s first and foremost fun to play. The core concept is entertainment, so every mechanic should reinforce an engaging gameplay loop rather than a strict simulation or educational experience.
Here’s where I’m at right now:
• The central idea (renting assets, spaces or vehicles) is clear in my head, but the overall environment and art direction are still open. I’m happy to explore anything from realistic city blocks to stylised fantasy hubs—whatever best serves smooth performance and eye-catching visuals.
• Game feel matters. I need responsive controls, satisfying feedback, and a clear progression system that encourages repeat play.
• The project will live entirely inside Unity (C#), so scripts, prefabs, scenes and lighting should follow standard Unity best practices to keep the codebase clean and extendable.
What I need from you:
1. A playable prototype that showcases the basic rental loop (acquire, upgrade, return/repurpose).
2. Functional UI/UX that makes interaction intuitive on both keyboard-mouse and gamepad.
3. All Unity project files, clearly organised, with commented scripts so I can iterate after delivery.
4. A brief read-me explaining set-up, key systems and any third-party assets used (free or properly licensed).
If you have prior work demonstrating polished gameplay and smart use of Unity systems—Cinemachine, URP/HDRP, Addressables, or Photon for multiplayer—please reference it. I’m aiming for a solid, fun foundation I can continue to grow, so clean architecture and thoughtful design choices will be valued just as highly as visuals.
