Arcade Boxing Game for Steam
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I want to bring a fast-paced boxing title to Steam that feels like a lost PS3-era indie gem. The genre is straight-up Boxing and the core loop is pure arcade-style fighting—quick combos, responsive controls, and an over-the-top energy rather than heavy simulation.
Visual/technical target
Think stylised third-person presentation with that familiar mid-2000s console polish: clean shaders, punchy VFX, and a ringside camera that tracks the action without motion-sickness. I’m open to Unity or Unreal as long as we can hit stable 60 fps on modest PC hardware and roll in the usual SteamWorks hooks (achievements, leaderboards, controller support).
Scope I need you to cover
• Build the core fighting engine (movement, hit detection, stamina, knock-down system).
• Create at least two distinct fighters and one arena so we can test variety early.
• Implement basic AI for solo play plus local versus; online multiplayer is a stretch goal once the core is solid.
• Hook the project to Steam for publishing: store page assets, rich presence, and achievements.
• Supply commented source, exportable builds, and a short technical document so future content drops are painless.
Acceptance criteria
A playable PC build that installs through Steam’s internal beta branch, runs bug-free for a full three-round match, and showcases the arcade boxing feel described above.
If that sounds like a bout you’re ready to enter, let’s talk timeline and milestones.
