Unity Lighting Specialist for Low-Poly Game
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Job Title:
Unity URP Lighting & Visual Polish Artist for Stylized Low-Poly Game
Job Description:
We are developing a stylized low-poly third-person adventure game in Unity 6 using the Universal Render Pipeline (URP). Our world uses Synty Studios assets, with a rough map size of 300x300 units, and is targeting PC.
We’re seeking a Unity lighting and visual polish specialist to help us enhance the game's overall look and feel—bringing mood, depth, and atmosphere through lighting, post-processing, and visual detailing—without compromising performance.
Responsibilities:
Set up high-quality static lighting that suits the stylized low-poly aesthetic (no day-night cycle required).
Create and fine-tune URP Volume Profiles (post-processing effects like bloom, color grading, AO, vignette, fog, etc.).
Add atmospheric elements such as fog, visual effects, light cookies, and subtle environment polish to bring life to the world.
Perform a detail pass on key areas—using existing Synty props and assets to enhance visual richness and scene composition.
Ensure the project remains well-optimized with smooth performance on mid-range PCs (low draw calls, smart probe usage, etc.).
Work closely with the internal team to ensure consistency with reference visuals (aiming for a feel similar to SurrounDead).
Requirements:
Proven experience with Unity URP, lighting workflows, and post-processing systems.
Strong understanding of stylized/low-poly visuals, with an eye for mood, tone, and atmosphere.
Familiarity with Synty assets or similar stylized asset packs is a big plus.
Solid grasp of optimization techniques (light baking, LODs, probes, batching, post-FX tuning).
Ability to work independently and deliver clean, organized work.
A portfolio showcasing similar Unity stylized environments or lighting work.
Please include in your application:
Links to past Unity projects or environments you’ve worked on (especially URP or stylized lighting examples).
A brief explanation of your approach to lighting and polish in low-poly or stylized games.
Your availability and rates, or a rough time estimate for this scope of work.
