Overview:

We are looking for a talented sound designer to create a compelling sound portfolio for a Unity game. This project involves the following:

Production of a Sound Portfolio:

Create a variety of sounds suitable for a game environment.

Integration of Sounds:

Integrate the created sounds within a Unity game environment.

Video Demonstration:

Produce a video demonstrating the sounds within the game environment.

Game Environments to Choose From:

Medieval Castle/Market (You will be provided with a Unity project to work on, with a specific setting mentioned above. You are only expected to work on the audio.)

Important Note:

You must not record any original audio for this portfolio. Instead, find existing audio clips on the internet and in the specified sound libraries.

Deliverables:

Video Demonstration:

A 6-minute MP4 video showcasing the sound portfolio in the Unity game environment, DISCUSSING THE CREATION PROCESS (a script is enough).

Button Sounds:

Three button sounds (one for each button state) reflecting a playful mood.

Footstep Sounds:

Three distinct footsteps for different surfaces.

Sound Effects:

Two distinctive sound effects for collectible item pick-ups.

Creature Sound:

A sound for a creature within the game environment.

Background Ambience:

One minute of natural background ambience, supplemented with at least one foreground sound.

Project File:

An Audacity ( ONLY 3.4.2) project file (.aup3) for the background and mid-ground ambience.

Track Sheet:

A track sheet illustrating the creation of the background and mid-ground ambience.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in sound design, specifically for games in Unity.

Proficiency in using Audacity and creating track sheets.

Ability to create engaging and playful sounds.

Understanding of natural environment soundscapes.

Detailed Requirements:

Menu Button Click Sounds:

Three sounds for different button states: Button down/pressed, Button up/released, and Mouse over.

Footsteps:

Three footstep sounds for different surfaces. Each sound should be a clean, single footstep edited for game implementation.

Game Event Sound Effects:

Two distinct sounds for collectible item pick-ups.

Creature Sound:

A 10-20 second sound representing a creature in the game environment, localized to the creature's area.

Ambience and Foreground Sounds:

60 seconds of background and mid-ground ambience, with a track sheet detailing the creation process.

One 10-20 second foreground sound associated with a specific object or location in the environment.

Unity Integration:

Edit and integrate the sounds into your chosen game environment using Unity version 2022.3.34f1.

Do not modify the game project beyond sound integration.

Use only the sounds created for this assignment in the game environment.
