VR Progressive Lens Simulation for Meta Quest 3
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm seeking a skilled VR developer to create an engaging standalone application for the Meta Quest 3. This app will simulate various types of eyeglass lenses using 360° video overlays across four pre-recorded environments: a Shopping Mall, Driving, Home, and Beach.
Key Features:
- Lens Simulation: The application should simulate different lens types including Near-Vision, Distance, Progressive (across four levels), Polarized, and Photochromic lenses.
- Measurement: Implement both eye tracking and manual calibration methods for measuring Pupillary Distance (PD) and Pupil Height (PH).
- Transition Effects: Provide smooth transition effects using a 'blur' method between different vision zones.
- User Interface: A simple, menu-based UI for lens selection and measurement calibration is required.
Development Requirements:
- Preferred Development Environment: Use Unity or Unreal Engine with OpenXR/Oculus SDK.
- Video Overlays: The application should overlay dynamic blur and tint effects onto the 360° videos, without needing a full 3D environment.
- APK Export: The final product should be exportable as an APK for submission to SideQuest/App Lab.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Prior experience with VR application development, particularly for Meta Quest 3.
- Knowledge of OpenXR/Oculus SDK.
- Ability to create simple yet effective user interfaces.
- Experience with video overlays and dynamic effects in a VR context.
