Oculus Quest 2: Innovative Children's Game Development

Job ID: 38706465

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Unity VR Developer for Oculus Quest 2 – Child Game Development

We are seeking a skilled Unity VR developer to collaborate on an exciting project for the Oculus Quest 2 platform. The project involves the development of nine interactive child games, each designed to be engaging and fun, with varying levels of difficulty. The games will encourage problem-solving, attention, memory, and coordination, making them both entertaining and beneficial for children.

The games are structured across five difficulty levels, with each level designed to gradually challenge and enhance a child’s cognitive and motor skills. We are looking for a developer to bring these games to life through immersive VR experiences, ensuring that each task is both engaging and intuitive for young players.

Sample Game Overview: One of the key games involves identifying and interacting with numbers in a dynamic environment. Numbers from 1 to 9 appear randomly in the virtual world, and the child must perform a specific action, such as pressing a virtual button or making a gesture, whenever any number appears—except for a number 3. The game progresses in difficulty as the timing and speed of the number appearances change, challenging the child’s reaction time and focus. Feedback is provided in real-time to keep the child motivated and engaged throughout the game.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the VR games using Unity for the Oculus Quest 2 platform.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure an engaging user experience that is suitable for children.
Optimize performance for smooth gameplay, ensuring compatibility with Oculus Quest 2.
Create interactive environments with intuitive controls for young players.
Integrate feedback and scoring systems to motivate and encourage continued play.
Requirements:

Proven experience in developing VR applications with Unity.
Familiarity with Oculus SDK and VR development best practices.
Strong understanding of user interaction, particularly for young audiences.
Ability to collaborate and implement creative solutions for immersive gameplay.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Further details on all nine games, including the assets required, scoring methods, and mechanics, are available in a detailed PDF document that will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
