Enhancement and Feature Integration for CMM Machine Model in Unity

In this project, we are looking to enhance and expand the functionalities of the already existing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) model developed in Unity. I'm looking for a freelancer who is proficient in Unity and has a foundational understanding of engineering concepts, particularly in precision measurement and geometric dimensioning. The core of this project involves improving an existing Unity model of a CMM machine, making it more interactive, user-friendly, and capable of performing sophisticated measurement operations. The candidate should have experience in Unity's GUI development, scripting for automated processes, and ideally, some background in engineering or a related field to ensure accuracy and feasibility of the measurement features.
Key Features to Implement:
Interactive GUI Options: Develop an opening menu with multiple options and features related to the operations the CMM machine can perform. The content will be provided, and the freelancer will be responsible for integrating it into a user-friendly GUI using Unity.
Probe/Stylus Qualification: Implement a feature to determine the diameter of the machine's needle by allowing users to tap it around a sphere five times. This process, critical for accurate dimensioning, should be intuitive and guided within the application.
Coordinate System Selection: Enhance the model by enabling the choice between two different coordinate systems - the default Machine Coordinate System (MCS) and a customizable system set at the workpiece's corner. This will involve scripting to allow users to establish the workpiece-originated coordinate system through a series of taps on the workpiece's planes, automating the origin setting process.
Dimensioning Options: Integrate the capability to select various types of dimensioning (point, line, plane, circle, etc.), with an initial focus on implementing straightforward measurement functions for points, lines, planes, and circles within Unity. We can do all this by extracting the value of X,Y,Z coordinates whenever the needle/probe touches the workpiece and develop the formula.
