Add Unity features on an existing model of a machine

Job ID: 37585728

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

I am seeking an experienced Unity developer with a strong background in game physics and UI/UX design to enhance an existing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) simulation model. The primary objective is to upgrade various aspects of the simulation to provide a more realistic and user-friendly experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphics and Texture Enhancement: Improve the visual fidelity of the simulation. This includes upgrading textures and possibly integrating Havok Physics to replace or enhance the existing Unity Physics framework.

Player Controller Script Optimization: Refine the player controller script to limit movement directions, ensuring players remain within the operational boundaries of the machine.

Axis Value Display: Implement a feature to display X, Y, and Z axis values directly in the game view. This should be achieved without the need for debugging the controller scripts and must utilize Unity's UI elements for a seamless integration.

Coordinate System Options: Introduce an interactive feature allowing players to select between different coordinate systems:

Global Coordinate System: This will be the default setting with its origin at the top left of the machine (0,0,0 coordinates). As the probe moves, it should display the X, Y, and Z values relative to this system.
Part Coordinate System: This option allows the placement of a rectangular workpiece on the bench. The origin in this mode will be set at one corner of the workpiece, with the X, Y, and Z values adjusting accordingly.

The model can be seen here.
