Application Architect: Efficiency-Driven Web App

Job Summary: The Application Architect will play an important role in the Organization by
designing, overseeing, and implementing robust architectural solutions that align with the Organization's business objectives and IT strategy. This role requires deep understanding of various software architecture, design patterns, development methodologies and a strong ability to map the business requirements into technology and platform solutions with the use of Architectural Principles, Architectural frameworks, Architectural tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain the Application Architectural views for Current, Target and Transition states.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into a robust Architectural solution.
Create Application architectures that are secure, scalable, interoperable, resilient, modular and built for optimal performance with excellent UX.
Define software components, modules, interfaces and integration to create cohesive application ecosystem.
Define coding standards and guidelines for SDLC and DevOps pipelines and ensure its implementation and adoption.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, processes and identify opportunities to better leverage them to maximize value for business.
Analyze application performance metrics and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.
Identify potential technology and integration risks and create solutions to mitigate them.
Work closely with the Business, Data, Infrastructure and Solution Architects to translate and align the business requirements to Architecture-led technology outcomes.
Provide leadership and guidance to the project teams and implementation partners in areas of Application Architecture, Application Integration and support in performing feasibility analysis, POC and MPV for the proposed solution.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or relevant fields
At least one industry standard expert certification on technologies such as Python, Java, Azure, AWS, etc.,
TOGAF would be a plus.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum 10+ years experience as a Programmer/Designer of Enterprise systems, with hands-on experience in designing and developing UX layers, Integration layers, Business Logic layers and data layers.
Minimum 3+ years experience as Application Architect in large Organizations, preferably Banking or Financial Institutions.
Proficiency in designing and implementing robust API solutions using one or more of the programming languages such as Python, .Net, Java, etc., with SOAP, REST, SOA, Micro-services and ACID architectures is a must.
In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing integration solutions using ETL, ESB and/or API is a must.
In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing Containerization, Orchestration and virtualization using Dockers, Kubernetes, etc., is a must.
Application implementation experience in Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a must.
In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing mobile platform solutions using Native and Hybrid technologies such as Swift, Java, angular, xamarin etc., would be a plus.
Exposure to industry standard reference models such as ACORD or BAIN
Proficiency in Modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or ArchiMate.
Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work individually and also in large teams across multiple entities.
