UI Interview Design Blueprint

I’m overhauling our hiring process for Lead and Associate UI/UX roles and need an expert who lives and breathes interface design to shape an interview that truly separates strong talent from the rest.
What I need
• A compact, ready-to-run interview outline that focuses on evaluating user interface design skills.
• Question bank for both live discussion (30-60 min) and an optional take-home exercise.
• Each question should surface a candidate’s grasp of visual aesthetics, interaction patterns, and responsive design.
• A clear scoring rubric that spells out what an outstanding, acceptable, or weak response looks like, making it easy for non-design panelists to grade consistently.
How we’ll work
I’ll share the current role descriptions and any existing materials. You’ll refine or replace them with targeted tasks, sample answers, and pro-tips on follow-up probes. If you’ve previously led design teams or crafted hiring assignments in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools, your insight will be invaluable.
Deliver everything in a concise document or slide deck that I can start using immediately. Quick turnaround preferred so we can slot this into upcoming interview rounds.
