Frontend Developer / Designer — SaaS Marketing Website (Next.js + Tailwind)

Overview

I'm building a SaaS product and need an experienced freelancer to design and build a clean, modern, high-converting marketing
website (the public site — separate from the app dashboard).

I want a site that feels simple, elegant, modern, and fast — professional and SaaS-grade, not flashy or over-designed.

▎ • Greenfield: building the marketing site from scratch.
▎ • Continuation: I have an existing Next.js build to improve, finish, and polish.
▎ This is frontend + design only — the product backend/app is separate and out of scope.

Design direction

- Simple — clear hierarchy, lots of whitespace
- Elegant — refined typography and spacing
- Modern — current SaaS-landing standards
- Fast & accessible — performance and a11y are part of "done"

Scope of Work

1. Design

- Modern landing/marketing design (desktop-first, fully responsive)
- Lightweight design system / tokens — colors, typography, spacing, buttons, cards
- Tasteful motion — scroll reveals, hover states, hero animation (subtle, purposeful)

2. Pages & sections

- Home / landing — hero, social proof, feature sections, "how it works", pricing, testimonials, FAQ, final CTA, footer
- Product / feature pages
- Pricing page
- Legal pages — privacy, terms, cookie policy
- Contact / Book-a-demo (form)
- Empty/edge content states (404, etc.)
- (Optional) Blog / changelog

3. Quality bar

- Fully responsive (mobile 375px → desktop) with no layout breakage
- SEO — metadata, Open Graph, sitemap/robots, structured data (JSON-LD)
- Performance — strong Core Web Vitals (optimized images, minimal JS)
- Accessibility — semantic HTML, focus states, color contrast, reduced-motion support

Tech stack context

- Framework: Next.js (App Router) + TypeScript
- Styling: Tailwind CSS
- Animation: Framer Motion (or similar) — subtle, not heavy
- Hosting: Vercel
- Design tool: Figma preferred (if design is part of scope)

Deliverables

- Production-ready Next.js + Tailwind marketing site (clean, documented code)
- A small design system / component library (reusable, consistent)
- Responsive layouts across breakpoints
- SEO + performance set up (metadata, sitemap, OG, Lighthouse-passing)
- Deployed to Vercel (or handover-ready), plus brief docs/README

What I'm looking for

- Strong frontend skills in React / Next.js + Tailwind
- A good design eye — clean, minimal, modern marketing sites
- Experience building SaaS / marketing / landing websites
- Care for responsiveness, performance, SEO, and usability
- Clear communication and self-management

Nice to have

- A portfolio of SaaS landing pages / marketing sites
- Experience with Framer Motion / scroll animations
- CMS experience (e.g. headless CMS) for editable content
- Both design and development skills (one person who can do both is ideal)
