Mobile App Designer
Overview
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to create mobile app design for a premium fantasy sports app focused on American softball or baseball.
The ideal designer can bring a bold, colorful, professional, and modern aesthetic while maintaining strong discipline in layout, hierarchy, and interaction design. The product should feel sharp, composed, high-signal, and quietly intelligent rather than noisy, gimmicky, or overly playful.
This mobile app includes: (a) a "Smart Net"; (b) a "Smart Mound"; (c) Body-Worn Sensors; and (d) an App.
The Smart Net, Smart Mound, and Body-Worn Sensors require Bluetooth connectivity to "talk" to one another and to communicate data to the App. The App serves multiple functions: (1) training programs - coaches can create custom training programs for each player based on coach input, results from recent games and/or AI-generated training advice; (2) compliance - it tracks athlete compliance to the at-home training programs, including the results of each training session; and (3) communication - it establishes an ecosystem where Players, Head Coaches, Pitching Coaches, and Parents can communicate about player development.
The business model consists of selling (or a subscription to) the Smart Net, Smart Plate, and Body-Worn Sensors, and charging a monthly fee for the App. The system can be sold to pitching coaches for use at the practice facility and also to parents for "at home" use so the player can practice when not playing games or otherwise practicing.

The design direction should generally reflect strong structure, confident typography, thoughtful contrast, minimal visual noise, subtle motion, and purposeful data presentation that helps users make fast, confident decisions. We are open to strong designer interpretation within that overall product philosophy.
Important: We are not looking for a generic, template-driven, or “out of the box” app aesthetic. The final product should not feel like a standard UI kit, default component library, or lightly customized framework. We want a mobile experience that feels distinctive, premium, and intentionally designed for this product and audience, while still preserving usability and clarity. The app should feel designed, not assembled.
