Custom Modern WordPress Theme Build

I’m ready to move beyond off-the-shelf templates and launch a WordPress site built around a fully bespoke theme. The aesthetic I’m after is modern and minimalistic—clean lines, generous white space, and typography that feels intentional without being ornamental.

Here’s what I need:

• Design & UX
Translate my rough wireframes into polished desktop and mobile mock-ups. The look should stay lightweight, with subtle interactions that keep pages fast and uncluttered.

• Theme Development
Hand-code a Gutenberg-compatible theme that installs like any standard .zip, follows WordPress best practices, and leaves me free to add or remove modules (blog feed, simple store, portfolio grid, etc.) down the road. Responsiveness, Core Web Vitals performance, and tidy, documented files (PHP, SCSS/CSS, JS) are critical.

• Handoff
Package the finished theme, a child theme, and a concise guide showing where to edit copy, colours, and images—so I’m not tied to code for everyday updates.

Acceptance Criteria
1. Visual accuracy to approved mock-ups
2. Mobile Lighthouse score of 90+
3. No PHP/JS errors with debugging enabled
