Business Directory Website Development

Job ID: 40469015

Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD

I need a skilled developer to create a directory website using Brilliant Directories. The site will primarily feature business listings, and should include essential business contact information on the listing pages.

Key Requirements:
- Development on the Brilliant Directories platform
- Business listings with comprehensive contact information
- User-friendly navigation and layout
- Service categories and service types
- Location and service-area structure
- One business listing with one primary location plus multiple serviced areas
- Search by service and location/service area
- Avoiding duplicate results where one business serves multiple areas
- Bulk import of listings via CSV
- Claim listing flow for imported business profiles
- Free, Claimed, Enhanced, Featured and Sponsored listing tiers
- Basic paid upgrade path or future-ready monetisation setup
- Featured/sponsored listing display rules
- Custom listing fields and listing page layout
- Clean homepage, search results and listing detail page design
- SEO-friendly setup, including page titles, metadata, sitemap and clean URLs where possible
- Data export and handover so I can manage it myself ongoing

Design Preferences:
The site should feel clean, modern, and trustworthy—not like a generic classifieds or old-style directory. The current Brilliant Directories Yellow Pages-style theme is a good starting point but needs to be stripped back and rebranded for Come To You.
Specific design preferences include:
* Clean search-first homepage with strong mobile experience.
* Simple listing cards.
* Uncluttered listing detail pages.
* No unnecessary events, coupons, jobs, classifieds or community features.
* Preference for safe Brilliant Directories settings, layout controls, and light CSS only.
* Avoid heavy widget/code customisation unless absolutely necessary.
The site should clearly communicate that Come To You helps people find mobile service providers that travel to them. It is not a booking marketplace.
Key homepage message: “Find someone who comes to you.” “Search mobile service providers across Australia and contact them directly.”
Examples/Functionality Admired:
* Brilliant Directories’ built-in claim listing, paid tiers, and member/admin tools.
* Clean service/location search.
* Simple provider listing pages with clear contact options.
* Directory structures that can scale to thousands of listings without becoming messy.
Additional Notes:
I already have the design direction largely worked through in Webflow. The goal is to move the build into Brilliant Directories while using the existing Webflow work as the visual and UX reference. The ideal developer would not need to invent the whole brand/design direction but instead translate it into BD as closely as practical. The biggest technical question is whether BD can properly support one business listing with one primary location and multiple serviced suburbs/regions so customers can search by where they need the service—not just where the business is based.

To be considered, please answer these questions in your proposal:
Which Brilliant Directories sites have you built or worked on? Please include live links.
What was your role on each site?
Have you configured service areas, multi-location listings or location-based search in Brilliant Directories?
Have you handled CSV imports into Brilliant Directories?
Have you configured claim listings, paid tiers, featured listings or sponsored placements?
Have you customised BD design using settings/light CSS without heavy widget edits?
How would you approach one business listing serving multiple suburbs or regions without creating duplicate result rows?

Please do not apply if you have not worked directly with Brilliant Directories before. I am looking for a BD specialist, not a general web developer who is willing to learn the platform during the project.
